IMG_3616.jpg

A stone may have a cycle measured by millions of years, a tree for hundreds and a human for tens of years.

A tree will eventually die, but the wood that remains can live on for hundreds of years. I seek to leave my mark on the wood as a part of the process that wood goes through in this second cycle of life.

Some objects record time well by changing slowly with time and become even more beautiful as the cycle progresses. The elements that contribute to the changes are numerous - even the accidental markings left from the object's use.

I design and build things with the user in mind.
The things I build should be functional, strong, and visually quiet.

Nature inspired design with emphasis in structure is what I strive for.
